Black, red and flowers
At a local boot car sale my eye fell on this dirty, scratched and outdated jewelry armoire. A makeover idea came to mind right away, so I took it home. It took a lot of effort as it was not in a good condition anymore and needed a lot of work to get it how I had it in mind.
First of all it needed a good clean and some small repairs fixed. I sanded the piece and painted it in Athenian black chalk paint from Annie Sloan. Afterwards I sealed it with varnish. All the dirty, white velours inside the drawers and doors had to be ripped out to be completely replaced with velvet red velours instead. The front got a beautiful flower print form Re-design with Prima and new knobs were added.
