DIY shoe box

Little wooden box

Since a few years I’ve got a bunch of pellet wood in our storage waiting to be used some day. Last week I looked at the shoe dumping place from my son.. and decided I really needed to make a proper rack for his shoes! A few minutes later I got the pellet wood out and impulsively improvised a DIY shoe box project.

I used only materials and paint we already had at home, I didn’t want to spend any money on it. We had some wood left from our old dining table, which served well for the shelves. Also I still got a set of legs that I bought for an upcycling project but never used. As the shoe box is in our living room (we don’t have a hallway), I wanted the box to blend in and not draw the attention too much. By no means I’m a carpenter but I think I managed pretty well to make a solid, cute, little shoe box for my kids out of nothing.
