Chest of drawers

Scandinavian look

This project was one of the first I did on my own and it involved some trial and error during the process. The chest of the piece was a bit damaged and I also found out the hard way that I needed to prime it first before painting… as it absorbed all the beautiful Oxford navy blue chalk paint from Annie Sloan. Also, I had a Scandinavion look in mind, with the drawers partly in wood. It turned out to be very time consuming to sand the parts I wanted natural, so I painted them as well. Another thing: I wanted new legs. To take the old legs off was easy, to put the new legs on wasn’t! I learned a lot with this upcycling project and I’m very pleased how it turned out.
