A wall to draw on
One wall in our home never stays white for long. None of our walls do actually, but this particular wall gets scratched on easily as it is in the center of the home. Also, my children had been drawing on it (“but mom, you are painting the walls too!” and “but mom, this wall is so boring!”). After repainting it white for at least 6 times, I decided to do it different and create a chalkboard wall.
I bought a can of chalkboard paint only to found out at home I got a purple tint instead of black. No problem, purple looks good too! I painted a few layers and I added a trim on the upper side to define the drawing area. That was basically it. It adds a fun space in the house and hopefully from now on they will only draw at this dedicated chalkboard wall (a mother can dream, right?).
